The Daymatic isn’t exactly the first Lange 1 that I tend to think about when Lange’s best known collection comes to mind. Its use of an automatic movement makes it something of an outlier among Lange 1s. While a supremely finished manually wound movement is big part of the charm of the standard Lange 1, I have met watch enthusiasts over the years with a strong preference for the convenience afforded by automatic movements, and the Lange 1 Daymatic would seem to register with this demo. In any event, there are only going to be 25 of these Daymatics, and I expect that they will all go fast.
