Now the L093.1 packs a lot of high-end watchmaking into a very compact profile, and the two-handed dial without seconds or date will appeal to a lot of purists, as will the 37 mm size. But truly the story here has to be the pricing of this watch, and how much it represents an appeal by one of today’s most lauded high-end brands to attract younger buyers. My guess is the 37 mm Saxonia Thin will be a runaway success for Lange, and will bring in a lot of new clients to the brand – which I assume is the goal of such a watch at such a price. No matter how you cut it, this is likely one of the best modern watches priced under $15,000 in the world, and I personally love to see this type of thinking by such a respected brand.
Read more about the Saxonia Thin here, and if you want one of these, I’d recommend calling your authorized dealer soon (such as the New York boutique, the Miami boutique, and the latest in South Coast Plaza, who will likely be among the first to receive them), because they will be popular.
