It was at last year’s SIHH that A. Lange & Söhne revealed the absolutely mind-boggling Grand Complication, which, as you would expect, got most of the attention at the time. But, quietly, Lange also updated the 1815 collection with a new Up/Down. This sits at the opposite end of the spectrum from the Grand Complication, telling only the time and the power reserve, executed with simplicity and elegance. At 39mm and available in three colors of gold, this is a great modern take on the classic dress watch, and one worth looking back at before Lange gives us more for 2014. Our full hands-on look from SIHH 2013 here.
