Inside the PAM 337 is the in-house P.999 movement, which Panerai introduced in 2010. The P.999 is only 3.4mm thick, which allows the PAM 337 to remain its relatively lithe 11.6mm thickness. Manually-wound, the P.999 has a 60-hour power reserve. Sure this is significantly less than the 8-days you might be used to from other Panerai models, but the 337 is significantly smaller and reducing the barrel-size and number of barrels is one good way to reduce girth.

In addition to the PAM 337, Panerai also offers the 42mm Radiomir in titanium (PAM 338), red gold (PAM 439), and pink gold (PAM 378). The PAM 337 is priced at $7,700 and for availability you should contact Panerai’s New York boutique (545 Madison Avenue) at 212-223-1562. You can also explore the collection on Panerai’s website.
