The Divers Sixty-Five isn’t necessarily a purpose-built utility piece. It was water resistant to “only” 100 meters (more than enough for recreational desk-divers). It was a smaller, lighter, tool watch with a bit of pep to it. That pep comes from the fact that it’s a watch that, almost proudly, does less than its counterparts. This smug coolness stems from its solid design cues; a case design that stays faithful to that of its ’60s predecessor, and a dial design with spaciousness and legibility in mind.
