It also showcases the rest of the movement, covered by Panerai’s version of the three quarter plate – on a portion of which one can find a power reserve indicator with a whopping six days on it (three barrels in series in this). The finish is done quite well, with a subtle sandblasted look. The jewel holes are visibly stripped, there’s sharp, consistent beveling throughout, and all the printing is crisp, blued and well proportioned.

The P.2005 also houses a GMT 24-hour complication. The screw-down crown can function as a quick set mechanism for the home time, and is able to advance the hour hand in one-hour increments without hacking the minutes or seconds.
