Urwerk has just released their first ladies watch, the UR-106 Lotus. The new Lotus watch exemplifies that same creativity and complexity that Urwerk has been known for since its founding in 1997. This release comes on the heels of Urwerk’s recent discussion about the women who influenced them and the creation of their avant-garde brand (see Urwewrk’s series on “Remarkable Women”).

The Lotus embraces the Urwerk aesthetic whole-heartedly and uses the brand’s signature satellite hours in a new way. Three satellite hours are constructed in a tri-part carrousel similar to a flower. Each satellite is complete with four hour numerals that sweep along the minutes scale. Additionally, there is a moon-phase, made of lapis lazuli, which adds to the complexity of the watch.

The UR-106 Lotus comes in two versions: a titanium version with diamonds on the bezel, crown, and buckle; and a black PVC-coated titanium and steel version set with black diamonds. The measurements of the watch are 35 mm wide  x 49.4 mm long x 14.45 mm high.
