In case you missed it, the Zenith El Primero Original for HODINKEE is a two-register chronograph with a classic dial layout, no date display, the same 38mm steel case as the very first 1969 El Primero A386, and a chronometer certification straight from the COSC. Only 25 numbered pieces were made – and they didn’t last long. Just minutes after the reveal, both readers around the world and collectors in the room with us began snapping the watches up. In just over one hour (yeah, one hour) they were all gone – and, as of now, there are more than 250 people on the waiting list.
Luckily everyone could grab another glass of champagne and toast to a fun evening before strolling out into the West Village past a collection of vintage Porches, Mercedes, and Ferraris. Below are a bunch of photos from the celebration and hopefully we’ll see you at another HODINKEE event sometime soon.
