Introducing The Seiko Presage Enamel Collection, A Quartet Of Elegant Everyday Watches

Description

Finally we have the basic automatic models – and there are two of them, and they offer two very different looks. The first, the reference SPB047, is round and comes in at 40.5mm in diameter and 12.4mm thick with 100-meter water resistance. The second, the reference SPB049, is tonneau-shaped and measures 46mm x 35.9mm and 12.5mm thick with 50-meter water resistance. Both have sapphire crystals front and back, and come on crocodile straps with folding buckles.

Both watches also have the same movement inside. The caliber 6R15 is relatively straightforward automatic movement with a 50-hour power reserve that runs in 23 jewels. The balance beats at a very traditional 3 Hz, which is slightly slower than the 3.5 Hz that is more common these days. Both watches are also anti-magnetic up to 4,800 A/m and come with steel folding buckles instead of simple pin buckles.

The round Presage Enamel Automatic will retail for €1,100 (approximately $1,170 at time of publishing), while the tonneau version will retail for €1,300 (approximately $1,380 at time of publishing).
